Horse abuser makes local newspaper

Here is a very sad article I just saw in our local paper.
I don't understand how anyone could do something like
this. Disregard my handle, this is a serious post...

Greed, ignorance, apathy. You name it. Glad there were no pictures.
These things break my heart. I knew that I would have to be careful,
or I would collect too many horseys (for us). One cannot just lose
interest and park them in the garage or put them in the basement and
forget about them (well, at least not us).

I read the article and....I agree with you ruth...I really didn't like
that man (the one being guilt)

maybe be thankgod this was not slaughter and that most of these horses
should be able to recover?

actually....most all of them will probably be there before
spring...winter and snow and ice has come to TN now...
the supplies of good hay are short and the dumping of 100 some horses
into the market
two counties away from me will do nothing but prolong their misery...no
one is buying here...the
rescue is filled up and begging for money almost weekly....what do
you think untended and unhandled horses
are bringing here these days ??
